A Message From Your Friends At The Southeast AETC: Our hearts go out to those in our community who were affected by the hurricanes. If you have patients that are having trouble accessing HIV services during this time, we urge you to utilize HRSA’s Find a Ryan White Provider tool to help navigate them to services nearby.

Southeast HIV Accelerated Response for Ending the Epidemic (SHARE)

Ending the HIV Epidemic through SHARE

SHARE was created by the SE AETC to address the specific aims of the national EHE plan. By partnering with clinics that are doing little to no HIV testing and PrEP prescribing, the clinics participating in the SHARE program have goals to implement or increase HIV testing & PrEP prescriptions, complete stigma reduction training, develop sexual health protocols and prepare clinic-specific EHE sustainability plans.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has launched Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America. The initiative aims to reduce new HIV infections in the U.S. by 90% by 2030. Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) leverages critical scientific advances in HIV prevention, diagnosis, treatment and outbreak response by coordinating the highly successful programs, resources and infrastructure of many HHS agencies and offices.

SHARE was created by the SE AETC to address the specific aims of the national EHE plan. Clinics participating in SHARE will

  • implement or increase HIV testing & PrEP prescriptions
  • complete stigma reduction training
  • develop sexual health protocols
  • prepare clinic-specific EHE sustainability plans

Highest priority will be given to clinics that are currently doing no or very little HIV testing and/or PrEP prescribing.
