The Southeast AIDS Education and Training Center’s (SE AETC) Ending the HIV Epidemic with Antiretroviral Therapy (EHEART): A QuizTime Project will provide 20 questions over the course of four weeks designed to enhance medical knowledge of HIV treatment for clinicians working in primary or HIV specialty care. The quiz will cover four main themes: the rationale for antiretroviral treatment (ART); selecting initial ART; switching or simplifying ART; and management of ART adverse effects. The questions also highlight the benefits of ART on patient and population health, factors that impact the selection of ART, and unique strategies for administration and implementation of effective ART. Ultimately, EHEART will strive to improve the care of people with HIV and assist in ending the HIV epidemic throughout the Southeast United States and beyond.
Each question allows for 1 reattempt if your first attempt is not correct, and each question expires 48 hours after it is sent. Before the conclusion of the course, you will receive an email containing any questions you have not attempted, and you will have 48 hours from the time the email is sent as a last chance for answering those questions. Upon completion of this course, you will receive a numeric credit code and instructions for texting that to our credit system to claim your credits.
This course will enhance medical knowledge about HIV diagnosis and prevention to assist in ending the HIV epidemic throughout the southeast region of the U.S. This 20 question quiz will provide up to 4 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. This quiz is aimed at providers in primary care or other areas not specializing in infectious diseases, initially at sites within the Southeast region and subsequently in other healthcare settings and regions.

This quiz is aimed at providers in primary care or in specialty care who seek to learn about or enhance their care of people at risk for or with HIV.

This QuizTime project will address the need that Oral Health providers are not always aware of the current PrEP and PEP guidelines as well as HIV testing and treatment needs of patients with HIV. Primary care providers do not always consider oral health as part of their assessment and this should help fill that void.
