Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) Curriculum

Overview:

The purpose of this training is to improve providers’ capacity to provide routine testing and HIV treatment and prevention, and to give a foundation-building overview of clinical best practices in prescribing Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis to prevent HIV, and taking a thorough sexual history.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify risk factors associated with HIV infection
  • Describe effective communication skills for taking a sexual history
  • Review guidelines for prescribing PrEP
