- Outline the appropriate evaluation of a person infected with HCV prior to treatment with direct acting antiviral therapy
Screening and Diagnosis
Objectives:
- Describe appropriate screening criteria for HCV and apply to clinical practice
When and Who to Treat
Objectives:
- Discuss the principles of and indications for HCV treatment
Selecting HCV Treatment
Objectives:
- Identify the primary factors in choosing an appropriate hepatitis C virus (HCV) treatment regimen
Treatment Monitoring and Post Treatment Surveillance
Objectives:
- Monitor hepatitis C virus (HCV) treatment as per guideline recommendations
- Recommend appropriate long-term care of liver disease subsequent to sustained virologic response (SVR)
